Terms & conditions

1. Acceptance

By booking a tour with Safaris Horizons (the “Company”), you accept these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking Process

  • Tour bookings involve discussions to customize the best experience for you. Once finalized, a quote will be agreed upon.
  • A deposit payment confirms the booking, after which a confirmation will be sent.
  • Clients must complete forms providing necessary details such as flight information and dietary restrictions.
  • Special requests noted in our Registration Form will be considered, but non-registered requests are not guaranteed.

3. Price Guarantee

  • Once a deposit is received, prices are guaranteed except for:
  • Estimated price increases for future bookings.
  • Government fees, taxes, or fuel surcharges imposed after booking.
  • Major errors in quotation or significant exchange rate fluctuations.

4. Payment Terms

  • Camping Safari: 10% deposit required.
  • Lodge Safari: 40% deposit required.
  • Tailor-made Safaris: 10%-70% deposit based on customization.
  • Final payments can be made upon arrival (cash preferred).
  • Payments via bank transfer, credit card (3.5% surcharge), or online methods (PesaPal).
  • Payments must be made to company accounts in Tanzania.

5. Modifications

  • The Company may adjust itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, supplier issues).
  • Adjustments will not affect the quality or length of the trip.
  • Clients may request changes, but an amendment fee may apply.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made within 10 days of departure result in full forfeiture.
  • Cancellations made before 10 days may be eligible for a refund (lodging tours subject to provider policies).
  • No refunds for canceled individual tours, but credit notes may be provided in some cases.

7. Insurance

  • Travel and medical insurance are highly recommended.
  • Clients are responsible for their own insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.
  • High-risk activities (e.g., scuba diving, mountain climbing) are undertaken at clients’ own risk.

8. Conduct & Responsibilities

The Company reserves the right to terminate a trip if a client’s behavior causes distress, danger, or inconvenience to others.

Clients must disclose any medical conditions or physical limitations at the time of booking.

9. Liability Limitations

  • The Company is not liable for delays, third-party defaults, natural disasters, political instability, theft, or any other unforeseen events.
  • The Company is not responsible for losses due to airline delays, visa issues, or additional expenses incurred during the trip.

10. Additional Excursions

  • Optional activities are provided by independent operators and are not part of the contract with Serengeti Landmark Tours.
  • The Company is not liable for any incidents related to third-party excursions.

11. Jurisdiction

All disputes shall be governed by Tanzanian law and handled in Tanzanian courts.
